Hastings
A windy day in Hastings Old Town
Hastings Country Park
An interesting area, cliffs, glens and good views. It all seems very remote considering Hastings is only a few miles away.
Guestling Wood
After a good lunch in yet another dog friendly pub, we’re having a walk in a nearby wood. A bit boggy in places, but nice and quiet. Also a few geocaches to find, which is always interesting.
Morning Dog Walk
Another misty morning, though it’s nice to have some fields nearby to walk the dog – even if it’s a bit damp underfoot.

More Birds
We are now in the fresh water area of the reserve, and the lakes have mainly ducks.
Birdwatching in Rye Harbour nature reserve
After a foggy start, the sun has come out and with little breeze, it is quite warm. Lots of Bird Hides, and unusually, dogs are welcome.

After a miserable morning waiting for the rain to stop, we have been exploring Rye. An interesting town once you get away from the traffic, and we have had a lovely lunch in a dog friendly pub in the centre. The photo is St Marys Church, which has “The finest view of Rye” from the tower…
