We’re just finishing a longish walk around Crummackdale – weather has been reasonable, though a brisk wind at times.
Despite the poor weather forecast, it’s not a bad evening. A bit of a breeze but nothing serious.
Just the sounds of birds and the occasional lamb.
There are two tunnels on the bridleway from Clapham to Austwick – built so that nasty walkers didn’t cross the posh estate there.
Lovely woods, full of bluebells, primroses, cowslips and orchids.
A bit of a steep climb up though.
We’re on a short walk from the site
We’ve now got the field to ourselves (plus a few sheep) and it’s nice and peaceful.
The wind picked up overnight, but the rain has now stopped.
Superbly presented meals (and good to eat) with good beer – what more could one want?
An early morning walk from the site. Despite the forecast, it’s not raining yet, and the sun has made a brief appearance.
Not the greatest weather today, but good nevertheless.
A lovely evening at Austwick – when the sun shines, it is really lovely here.
