Horseshoe Falls

We walked up the canal from the Marina to Horseshoe Falls, which is where the entire Llangollen Canal gets its water from the River Dee.
A lovely afternoon – not too hot and not too cold (again).
We saw several of the horse drawn tourist boats on route, and found many geocaches.

Llangollen

We’ve finally arrived at the marina in Llangollen, where we will stay for a day.
Hard work through the narrow bits, but not TOO many other boats – though the ones in the other direction tended to be in large packs, making passing interesting…

New Marton Locks

There were a lot of boats moored below the locks last night, so we had an early start and went through without any delays.

Now stopped for breakfast in the early morning sun – looks to be another nice day.

Hindford

We all had a walk around Cole Mere in the sunshine this morning.

Then after getting supplies at Ellesmere, we stopped for lunch near Frankton locks.

We have now moored near Hindford, with the promise of a dog friendly pub nearby. Though Barney is currently in disgrace for jumping off the boat while we were passing under a bridge…

The day has clouded over a bit, but it’s still warm and dry.
