Turned out to be a good day in the end. The lower part of the canal is mostly restored, though we’ve yet to see a moving boat.

This area of Shoreham Woods has always been boggy, but the heavy rain over the winter has proved too much for one part:
A new path has been laid at High Elms. Whilst I’m sure it will tone down with mud after a while, it currently looks just a little out of place.
