National Museum of Scotland Posted on 24 Oct 2016 by Phil Reply Another cultural day today – we arrived when it opened at 1000, and have yet to complete one floor! A varied collection to say the least.
Pot of tea Posted on 23 Oct 2016 by Tina Reply We are at Edinburgh Castle. Lots to see, of varying interest to each of us. Having wandered around quite a bit of it, we’ve stopped for a pot of tea. Cute little milk bottle… Once rested, we’ll see the rest of the castle.
Edinburgh Castle Posted on 23 Oct 2016 by Phil Reply A bit of culture for the afternoon… Good views of Edinburgh though
Inverness to Edinburgh Posted on 23 Oct 2016 by Phil Reply We’ve had a lovely journey on the train from Inverness through the Cairngorms and across the Forth Bridge to Edinburgh. A leg from the Forth Bridge, and the road bridges can just be seen through the window.
Goodbye to Inverness Posted on 23 Oct 2016 by Phil Reply We had our final dinner on the boat last night, complete with a dramatic “Address to the haggis” from the crew. An early start this morning to catch our train to Edinburgh! And goodbye to the “Lord of the Glens” Which has now done its final cruise for the season.
