The bit out of the window varies, but you get the idea.

A coach took us to the new visitor centre at Culloden Moor:the followup (in battle terms) to our visit earlier to Glenfinnan. 

We’ve now reached the end of our cruise at Inverness, descending the last four locks into the basin. 

We’re back on the canal at the end of Loch Ness, much busier now with sailing boats and canoeists. 

We slowed down to look at this castle – lovely in the sunshine. 

We’re cruising along Loch Ness. Weather cold but clear. 

After lunch, we went down the 4 locks at Fort Augustus into Loch Ness. 

It’s a popular spot for onlookers, and we attracted a fair few. 

At the bottom of the locks is a swing bridge, so we stopped the traffic (and people) for 10 minutes! 

We’re now moored in Loch Ness, and exploring the town. 

We were allowed off the boat here, and walked up the canal in the sunshine to rejoin the boat at Fort Augustus for our lunch. 

This is a tree lined section of the canal, looking good in the autumn colours. 

We’re now traversing Loch Oich towards Fort Augustus. 

We’re just going up the lock. You can see the tree lined “Laggan Avenue” ahead.
