We battled through heavy traffic in Worthing to Lancing Beach – not that spectacular, but it had a cafe and toilets!

We then went on to Shoreham Fort, and we were delighted to discover a fairly new boardwalk that had been constructed across the shingle:

The fort itself was being renovated:

There was a nice little cafe there though!
