As we are staying in a town, we’ve had a car free day today. Our B&B owner suggested that we walked along the canal towpath to the local windmill instead of driving – an excellent suggestion.
Biennerville windmill proved to be very interesting – largely due to a tour by the miller himself.
These were demonstration rotary stones; it’s amazing how much dusty flour can be produced manually.
There was also a model railway room full of layouts and information on the now disused Tralee to Dingle railway.
After a reviving Guinness, we walked back to town.
